2010 Governor's Conference on Aging

The NC Association on Aging encourages

the 2010 Governor's Conference on Aging
October 13-15 at the Sheraton Imperial
Hotel in Durham.

Aging Boot Camp Offered Again November 3
& 4
The NCAOA is offering its popular Aging
Boot Camp training again November 3 & 4
in Hickory.
Designed for new employees in the aging
network, or others wanting a basic
understanding of aging issues and
services, the two-day training will be
held at the Western Piedmont Council of
Governments office building in Hickory.
Limited to thirty slots, early
registration is encouraged. To obtain

New Alliance Newsletters Out
The NC Caregivers Alliance and the NC
Senior Nutrition Alliance have recently
published newsletters for their
constituents.

The NC Association on Aging Annual
Conference will be held again next year
at the Downtown Marriott in Greensboro
April 27-29. Some changes for next year
(based on conference evaluations)
include a lower room rate at the
Marriott, and an open Internet Room
located adjacent to the Workshops
spaces.
The 2010 Conference drew the largest
crowd ever with 188 registrants.
The Conference theme of "Great
Challenges, Greater Opportunites," brought
together aging staff from forty-nine
counties throughout our state to
experience training and networking
opportunities. If you missed it, you
